About Capitalism Lab Capitalism Lab is a major stand-alone expansion for Capitalism 2 with a host of exciting new features and improvements. If you are new to the Capitalism series, you may check out the Capitalism 2 web site first. A: Although Capitalism Lab does not run natively on a Mac, you may use the following software products to run the game on a Mac. 1) VirtualBox for Mac. From version 5.6.xx on, Capitalism Lab has native support for 4K resolution. You can select Screen Mode from the main menu, then select the 3840×2160 resolution. However, if you find the game text on a 4K screen too small to read, you may choose a lower resolution (e.g. Capitalism II has also been ported to Mac OS X by Virtual Programming. A new expanded version of Capitalism II, called Capitalism Lab, was released on December 14, 2012. Capitalism Lab has many new features, improvements and a new concept of challenge games. The RealWorld Mod is the most popular mod for Capitalism Lab, with over 600 products and 900 customized product images, plus lots of new logos and portraits. Q: How will the game be delivered to be me after ordering it?
A: The game will be delivered to you via digital download. After ordering Capitalism Lab, you will be provided with a download link to download the game installer. Normally, the entire download process will only take a few minutes with a high speed Internet connection.
Q: Do I have to install Capitalism 2 in the first place, in order to run Capitalism Lab?
A: You can run Capitalism Lab without the presence of Capitalism 2 in your computer, as Capitalism Lab can run independently.
Q: Is Capitalism Lab available in other language versions, besides the English version?
A: Capitalism Lab allows users to localize the game text on their own. Thanks to the efforts of the contributors, the user-made translations for Capitalism Lab are now available in the following languages:

Q: On the Single Player Game menu, there is no response clicking on the Custom Game option.
A: Please check if youhave any anti virus software running in background. If so, there is a possibility that the firewall of your anti virus software may block the game’s communication with the game server. You may check your anti virus software’s user manual about how to add Capitalism Lab to one of its approved app to prevent it from being blocked by the firewall.
Q: I ran Capitalism Lab and saw a black screen.

1) Right-click on the Capitalism Lab icon to open the properties window.
2) Select the “Compatibilities” tab and check the Windows XP Compatibility option.
3) Enable the option “Disable display scaling on high DPI settings.”
4) Enable the option “Run this program as an administrator.”
5) Run the game.
Q: I ran Capitalism Lab in windowed mode and got a blank window and an error message.

A: In your My Documents folder, you can find “My Games” folder and “Capitalism Lab” subfolder, please delete the file CONFIG.DAT, and see if it will resolve the problem.

Q: Can I play Capitalism Lab with a 4K monitor?
From version 5.6.xx on, Capitalism Lab has native support for 4K resolution. You can select Screen Mode from the main menu, then select the 3840×2160 resolution.

A small number of users may experience compatibility problems when running the game at a lower resolution using a 4K monitor. In that case, please follow the below instructions to resolve the problem.

Right-click on the Capitalism Lab icon to open the properties window.
On the page for changing the high DPI settings (see the attached image), check “Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by:” and select “Application“.
Note that you should keep the default settings for other options (do NOT set compatibility mode and do NOT “run as administrator”).
Q: Does Capitalism Lab come with a manual PDF file?
A: All the new features and improvements of Capitalism Lab over Capitalism 2 are detailed on the Capitalism Lab web site and there will be no additional manual PDF file. Q: How can I disable auto patching in the Capitalism Lab Launcher?
A: Place a dummy file called no_auto_patch.txt file into your Capitalism Lab folder. When Capitalism Lab Launcher detects the file, it will no longer perform auto patching.
Capitalism Lab For Mac Osx
To create no_auto_patch.txt, simply open Notepad and save the empty text as no_auto_patch.txt into your Capitalism Lab folder.
If you are not sure where your Capitalism Lab program folder is located, you could right-click on the Capitalism Lab game icon and select “Properties”, then select “Open File Location” to open the folder.
